Mobile Unit Stopping at Beltway 8 and Woodforest Blvd. in Houston

HOUSTON, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Domino's Pizza (NYSE: DPZ), the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, announced today that it is setting up a mobile unit from noon to 5 p.m. at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Woodforest Blvd. in front of the Galena Park Independence School District Administration building in Houston and will be giving away 1,000 pizzas to recovery workers and citizens displaced by Hurricane Ike.

"Local Domino's Pizza franchise owners, store managers and other volunteer team members are gathering food and other supplies in order to provide a hot meal to citizens in one of the most hard-hit areas in Houston," said Scott McLeod, area vice president of franchise operations for Domino's Pizza. "The local area Coca-Cola bottler is also donating one six-pack of Coke products for every pizza given away," McLeod said.

"There are about 8-10 stores that are still shut down in the area, and we're working to reopen them, but in the meantime, we want to do our part to the help the community that has supported us for so many years," McLeod said. "We're working out the logistics, signing up volunteers and we'll be able to provide 1,000 pizzas to people who haven't had a hot meal in some time."
